When we finally got one at 5:00am i was having major problems getting an errection and it was very embarising. she even tried and i couldnt . i thought it was because i was really tired at the time but when i went to sleep and woke up i figured maybe i was over working it. any answers?

Question by this place: erectile dysfunction question?
with my first gf I got ed when she went down on me both times. then we broke up. my second gf I took my time with having sex and it still happened again but I did have sex although most of the time I was high. i do not smoke anymore, and still hold somewhat of a fear for this displeasure I seem to run into. she also got super mad and ended up telling a bunch of people out of her frustration. i know thinking only makes it worse, but it has somewhat deteriorated my self esteem in this area over the past year and i am wondering what to do. i am not looking to have a gf, because I do not feel it is a good time, but i want to have sex. girls do not make me nervous, but for some reason I cannot keep things going. please help!

Question by fockingclassy: Balding All Over my Head…?
I dont want to sound too conceited or anything but Im a pretty good looking guy, and although hair loss runs in both sides of my parents families, Im going bald at a extremely alarming rate.

Its not just falling out on top or in the front, its falling out extremely fast on the sides also. I can run my hand or comb through my hair on the sides and it falls out non-stop.

Anyone have any ideas, or is this just normal male pattern baldness?

It really sucks to because I have pretty long hair, and whenever I bring a girl back to my house my bed is covered in hair within 5min. I looked at taking propecia or whatever, but with a 8% occurance of impotence whats the point of having hair if you cant even get it up?
Figured you might want a little more info about me. Im 24, and in great physical condition although my diet is pretty much crap because Im in college.

Best answer:

Answer by Be More
See a dermatologist. And in terms of the impotence with propecia, don’t worry about that. I took it for awhile and had NO noticeable decrease in sexual function. My dermatologist (probably a 55-60 year old guy) said “In a man my age, propecia might cause some problems. But for someone your age (24), I’d be surprised if you noticed any sexual side effects.”

But see a dermatologist. There are a lot of conditions that can cause alopecia (hair loss) and some of them may be infectious disease type problems. A dermatologist will likely be able to quickly tell you what is wrong.

Question by : Erectile dysfunction-Low SHBG-Enlarged Prostate….Diabetes?
Hello I am 22 and i experience ED.I checked my hormones and found out tha my SHBG is 8 (normal is 10-50) and the doctor also found out that i had Enlarged Prostate ( which i read that might be connected to Type II Diabetes) Any ideas? Would there be any other irregular sign in my blood tests if I had diabetes? I also had a Doppler test and it showed that i had low penile arterial peak velocity but i will repeat that test….please HEEEEEELP!!!!

Best answer:

Answer by Gary B
Erectile Dysfunction is one of the MANY side effects of Diabetes!

Diabetes causes high blood pressure and high cholesterol, BOTH of which cause ED. BOTH of these will cause the reduce arterial peak velocity.

Diabetes causes nerve damage, which also causes ED.

There is only ONE test that the doctor needs to do for diabetes — blood sugar level. this test takes three forms:
A) Fasting Finger Stick Test. This is the test that diabetics do every day. Except the doctor will do a blood raw and send it to a lab for maximum accuracy. if your FASTING blood sugar is over 130, you may be diabetic. DO NOT EAT OR DRINK or at least 8 hours before doing this test! Don;t want any false readings!
B) The A1C test. This is like measuring your blood sugar Level continuously for 90 days. It averages ALL of th your blood sugar readings. A NORMAL A1C test is between 5 and 6 (percent). Anything over 7 indicates diabetes.
C) Glucose Tolerance Test. This test measure how well your body handles glucose (sugar) in your blood. This test take 3-4 hours, and requires many finger stick tests. However, the result from this test are definitive. if this test indicate diabetes, then you ARE diabetic — no more questions.

ASK your doctor to check you for diabetes!

What many men don’t realize is thea LOW blood pressure is required for “that” function. You would THINK that higher blood pressure would be necessary — but you would think wrong. LOW blood pressure is required — in fact, that is how pills like Viagra work. they LOWER the blood pressure, making an erection possible.

MUch more severe is nerve damage. It is often said that the largest sexual organ is the brain! If nerve in that ara are damage (by diabetes, surgery, injury, or other problems) then an erection is difficult to achieve or maintain, and if the damage gets worse (as it will if diabetes is not controlled) it may get to the point that an orgasm is not possible AT ALL.

The GOOD NEWS is that if you ARE diabetic, and this is the cause of your “problem”, then controlling your blood sugars WILL allows your function to return to nearly normal. You need to take STRICT control of your life, and TOTAL ELIMINATE sugars from your diet. You need to severely reduce carbohydrates, and increase fibers and proteins. You need MORE exercise, and you probably need to lose weight.

IF you do do all this, and successfully lower your blood sugar to the “normal” range (80-=120) for several months, you will see an improvement in your sexual functions.

Question by trobop: If you’re impotent, do you sometimes wish you were a woman…is this a common thought?
I’m impootent and especially when i first got impotent at age 24. i’m 28 now.. at that time i was sooo sad and suffering because i also had extreme pain since my impotence came abut from an injury.

It seems women have it easier than man..THey dont have that much danger of having their privates damaged badly.

Now it’s been a while sinc ei’ve been impotent.i’m not fully impotent but i ido have extreme pain often and there is no cure according to docs, but im fine if i dont do anything sexual. i feel fine and normal if i dont do anything sexual.

Women, most women have their privates fully working so they can enjoy the gift of sex. I’ve yet to see a women who gets her privates gone forever, nonfunctional,….just from a little experience of trauma or whatever.

Best answer:

Answer by Mike J
You are worrying about something you don’t need to worry about. All you need to do, as far as sexuality is concerned, is find the woman that you want to spend the rest of your with, and the rest will come naturally. No pun intended.

I don’t know what your problem is, but there are always ways around it. I had an accident quite a few years ago, and have my own problems, but I’m not worried. I’ve overcome more difficult things before. I always find my way, and I’m not worried about the future. I can’t wait for what’s ahead of me.

Question by Harlems Star: should sex ed be taught at school or at home?
some people think that it is the sole responsibility of parents, not of teachers, to give children information about sex. They say that education is a private matter and it does not belong in schools. Others say that sex education may be neglected at home in that schools should share this responsibility. What do you think? choose one alternative and explain why

Best answer:

Answer by j_d_mac_vieau
But some parents don’t teach it at all. I think the school should teach some of it so that kids can learn not to get any of the SIDS or pregnant.

I am going to be prescribed beta blockers tomorrow because i have these symptoms.

sweat alot
overheat
diorhea
itchy eyes
anxiety.

my diagnosis is a thyroid problem but my doctor doesnt seem to be entertaining that idea. I think he just thinks im suffering from some kind of nervouse dissorder.

soooo if im going to have to take these bloody things i want the SAFEST ONES. i know there arent normally any side affects but when possible side affects like (impotence, sexual problems, being moody) and the rest are mentioned it puts me on edge a bit. Not least because my moods are all over the place at the moment anyway and i feel nackered all the time. So i dont want to take something thats going to screw things up even more for me.

Please can someone tell me the safest and best beta blocker to get him to prescribe

thanks in advance.

Best answer:

Answer by Zerstorer
I just started Atinol, but that is a beta blocker for heart problems. To me I would seek a second opion, the whole “Dr doesn’t seem to”comment is concerning. if they get this wrong and it is a thyroid problem, could make it worse. just does not sound right to me. but then what do I know;-) HA!

I was so embrassed I mean I’ve able to get an erection prior to this with the same girl and the funny thing is we wasn’t even intimate when I got erections we were just kissing and holding hands and things of that nature.I also was worried and getting a little bit stressed out about what I was going to do with my life after highschool the day before , Also when she gave me oral her upper teeth kept scraping my “head” and I believed I masturbated the night before. these are the only factors I could think of that played a role in my ED But my pride is gone …I failed to get a proper erection at 16 during my first intimate encounter .Is there anything I can do to fix this probelm.

Best answer:

Answer by cameron_c
No, no erectile dysfunction, dude.

Fact is, most don’t know or won’t tell you that unless you are sexually gratified by vaginal sex on a very regular basis, your body will retain the habit of being pleased by masturbation, which is what you are used to. That means engaging in sex with a partner will be “off your pleasure radar” and will result in short-term impotence from time to time. But that is a thing every man gets. Your body will re-adapt to how you are pleasured and you’ll be like a rock and plugging your girl in no time. Trust me. Every guy struggles with this at some point.

As for the oral sex issue, that takes practice on her part. Talk about it and experiment. I still wouldn’t do oral. Just never got into–for that and other reasons.

Now go plow her field!

Question by : Is there a link between mental illness and memory problems?
I was wondering if there was link say someone who had a mental illness, are they more prone to having memory problems? Even if they recovered with medications or something?

Because I have a really bad memory. I have bipolar, borderline personality disorder, ptsd and an ED and I was wondering if that’s why my memory is so bad? Sometimes my boyfriend will say I JUST did something and I will start arguing with him because I have no memory what so ever that I did what he says I did. I also forget telling him things, I will tell him something, forget and then have to ask “What did I just say?”. Its like my mind just completely blocks out things I have done or like I have just blacked out and forget things or like I have done things and then they have been erased.

The most recent was just 10 minutes ago. I was talking to my boyfriend and then carried on watching TV and he said “Put your hand on my knee again, it was nice” and I said “I didn’t even touch your knee” and he said “Yes you did, when you was talking to me” and I just replied with “Did I? What was I saying/doing?”

Why am I so bad at forgetting things?! Does my mind blackout or something? Can it be linked to mental illness? I’m kinda worried about it. Thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by Snippet
Concentration and memory issues can occur with mental illness, or with medication, or with a whole range of other problems as well.

I suggest you see your doctor and talk about the memory issues. If you can afford it or have insurance cover it, it might be worth getting a neuropsychological assessment to clarify exactly where any possible memory or concentration issues might be.

Question by : 20 year old male experiencing erectile disfunction?
I’m 20 and I know it’s crazy but I can’t keep it up. Am I too young to take viagra or anything like that? what should I do? It’s stressing me out and I’m already stressed enough, I think that might be why it’s happening. I’ll work on my stress problems but in the mean time I want to have sex and so does this girl I’m seeing. Help! viagra? is there anything else i can do?
I knew someone was just going to tell me to relax. I can’t relax! I’m slowly working on it. That’s going to take time (and that stress isn’t over sex). I just want to have sex with her right now. That might help me relax anyway. And she’s not my girlfriend, I’m just seeing her at this point.

Best answer:

Answer by Ashleigh
I wouldn’t suggest using viagra due to the side effects that come with the drug, in the meantime i would recommend avoiding alcohol as this can contribute to erectile disfunction.

Question by : Hit in the penis and maybe a few problems?
so i was hit in the penis the other day, not too hard but it got me, mostly i the frontal-upper shaft/head, and ive noticed my boners arent as hard, this happened about 3-4 days ago, and im just wondering, could gerting hit in the actual penis effect the hardness of your boners? btw, ive been hit in the crotch quite a few times, but only one time before was i hit in the actual penis, and it was directly head on in the tip, and it was bruised, but this time it just hurt for a few mins, not even that bad and went away, ive just noticed that its a little more difficult to get erections and they are not as hard. i kno its not ED tho beause they are hard enough for penetration, and i hav masturbated that same night, a few hours later to be exact, i just noticed that my erections were 1. not as hard 2. lasted quite a bi shorter unless i had continuous stimulation, and 3. that my sperm count was a bit lower, i could see that their was a lot more of the fluid that sperm swim in than there normally is. i usually hav a lot of semen. so, i guess overall question, could my boners be less hard, and last a shorte time if i was hit int the penis. the last time i was hittheir other than the other day was a few years ago, and i was younger so i didnt think to much about it. and the bruise went away in a few days. so could someone help me please im still young and i dont need penis problems yet?

Best answer:

Answer by Andrew Yi
hmmm… that seems a little odd. i doubt its possible to have a lower sperm count if ur hit in the head of ur penis and stuff and sperm is produced in ur balls bro. and if u didnt get hit there. also the penis gets hard from blood flowing through ur penis. maybe like when u got hit some circulation in ur penis got.. cut off lmao. dude i woudl HONESTLY go to a doctor about that. dont be embarrasssed its completly normal. tell ur parents how u got hurt in ur area and be like it hurts alot or something and they will get u checked

some people think that it is the sole responsibility of parents, not of teachers, to give children information about sex. They say that education is a private matter and it does not belong in schools. Others say that sex education may be neglected at home in that schools should share this responsibility. What do you think? choose one alternative and explain why

Best answer:

Answer by moluvsmark
Both..since many parents dont like to talk about it…the mechanics and saftey issues should be taught in schools, the moral issues at home

Whenever I see an ED RX drug commercial or any RX Drug commercial dealing with male genetailia/sex/libido there is a disclaimer saying something like “This does not cure or prevent AIDs or any other STD”…. Well no shit sherlock is what I say. Is this disclaimer really needed that bad? Are people really so dumb they need to be explicitly told this? I MUST be missing something here….

Best answer:

Answer by Leann
Trust me there are people out there that are that stupid. If it comes down to sex or drugs. Stupid people exist. You are smart to believe that there is no reason for it but if you talk to someone that you don’t know you will realize that there are people that would believe it can prevent STD’s and AIDS so they have to put it on all Rx’s that deal with sex even birth control.

Question by UnnaturallyReal: What exercises can I do to stop the severe period pains?
I have regular periods but it just hurts so badly ! I’m 15 years old and I find it so embarrassing in school because every month I call up my parents to take me home, because I just can’t bear the abdomen cramps. Plus all the other girls at school do not have this problem. And my school is a co-ed school, so its really uncomfortable. Do I need some exercises to maybe stop such severe pain? What do you suggest?

Best answer:

Answer by Eleuthera
I feel your pain! i’m exactly the same way.

What i find helps is doing some yoga. It doesn’t have to be like advanced stuff really, but the point is to stretch out and relax. Walking/jogging supposedly relieves cramps, and can even make your period go faster.

Some foods that you can eat that help with cramps are dark chocolate.(The darker the better) and bananas.

Or you can take some pain killers like ibuprofen.

Hope this helps!

Question by RostersonDD: Why we’re not taught about TEETH in school in order to prevent problems?
There is no Dental health or even medical health class in highschools. at least not where i went or where i live.

But some people have crooked teeth that don’t cause problems until one day you bite something hard and CRACK.they may crack.

I have my teeth all crooked and impacted tooth but i was fine.. so i didn’t know that ihad to be careful in eating. then one day i bit down something and CRACK. it hurt. in fact this has happened a few times already even though i try my best not to get hurt.

So yeah, why regular public schools don’t even tell anything about teeth? there’s sex ed but there’s no dental ed.

Best answer:

Answer by Katy O.s
I learned from my dentist and my parents.

Also, in Sex Ed we learned about personal hygiene, and dental care was a topic.

Question by Lolcat: How can I get my friend to gain weight?
My best friend is almost 16 and she is 5’7 and 114lbs. She is very skinny but I know she doesn’t have an ED. It worries me that she is so small and I want her to gain weight for her health but I don’t know how to go about telling her.
What do I do?

Best answer:

Answer by yahoo
your a good friend. others would just laugh at people like her and make fun of them…. anyways motivation is the most important thing, you need to tell her the truth and get her motivated to gain weight,
